Yuval Rosenberg

Yuval is a post-doctoral fellow in our research group. His current work explores when educational innovations expand access to science education and communication using data-driven and physics-inspired estimation methods.

Yuval is also a science communicator and has been active in countless science outreach initiatives focusing on sustainability, physics, and the environment.

He completed a dual BSc in physics and mathematics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MSc and PhD in physics from the Weizmann Institute of Science in the group of Prof. Ulf Leonhardt. His research focused on ultra-fast and non-linear optical phenomena, studying Hawking radiation in an optical analog of a black hole. He later joined the group of Prof. Ron Milo as a post-doctoral fellow, where he studied global ecology and science education. He quantified the global biomass of terrestrial arthropods, regarded as the little things that run the world, and the biomass-movement of all life on Earth. He also introduced and quantified a new indicator to help compare and understand the scale of exposure to educational activities across different modalities.
