Our Applied Science Communication Research Group brings together science education and science communication research perspectives to critically engage with public engagement with science. We study issues, such as:

  • How science education shapes public engagement with science
  • Inclusive communication strategies across language, ideology, and gender
  • How diverse audiences use AI-generated scientific information
  • Citizen science as an educational tool
  • Training scientists for effective communication with diverse groups
