Our Applied Science Communication Research Group brings together science education and science communication research perspectives to critically engage with public engagement with science. We study issues, such as:
- How science education shapes public engagement with science
- Inclusive communication strategies across language, ideology, and gender
- How diverse audiences use AI-generated scientific information
- Citizen science as an educational tool
- Training scientists for effective communication with diverse groups
