The “Kids Build Games” project aims to strengthen the Hadar Youth children’s sense of belonging to the museum and to science. By setting up weekly sessions in the “MadaTech FabLab” where the children make their own products, we hope to strengthen their connection to the place and empower them.
Together with the FabLab team, we developed a program of 10 sessions where the children learn and experience how to build games – from planning to hands-on construction to finished product. The program included essential learning skills such as creative thinking, creativity, problem solving, teamwork, brainstorming, evaluation, etc., alongside hands on work with traditional technologies and basic experience with innovative technologies – 3D programming and laser-cutting software and its application.
