Technion Social Hub is an academic unit of the Technion that promotes the Technion’s vision as a leading institution for human capital development. The Social Hub supports courses in various Technion faculties that combine learning with the development of social change projects. Together with the Technion Social Hub, The Citizen Lab led a unique course for the third time that enables children being treated in the oncology department of nearby Rambam Hospital to receive educational assistance.
Participants in the course will learn to plan and implement a personalized learning unit based on the children’s interests and needs. From an academic perspective, students are introduced to educational tools and methods to engage their interest, experience science communication workshops, and participate in a tour of MadaTech. The professional and emotional aspects are accompanied by the course staff and Lev ChashAssociation, a humanitarian organization in Hadar.
