Roni Shapira

Roni Shapira is M.Sc. student at the Faculty of Education in Science & Technology at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on the availability and the quality of online scientific information through top Google search results. In parallel with her research, she obtains a teaching certificate in chemistry through the Mabatim 2 program.
Roni holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology and Food engineering (2007, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology) and M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition (2009, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem).
Having worked for 12 years in the food and chemical industries in various capacities, she currently works as a Materials Development Engineer within the chemical industry.

Orli Wolfson


Orli Wolfson

Orli Wolfson is a candidate for M.Sc at the Faculty of Education in Science and Technology at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
She has a B.Sc in Biology and Chemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, as well as a teaching certificate in both subjects.
She also has a B.A in Education of the Gifted and Talented, from Haifa University.
Orli’s research interests are communication of scientific uncertainty, and effective ways for scientists to communicate it. Also, Orli is interested in scientific language for different publics, and the relationship between scientific knowledge and literacy, gender and decision-making.
