Siaẖ Biologim (The Biologists’ Colloquy), a one-day professional development seminar for high school biology teachers, took place yesterday for the tenth time (!) since its debut in 2010. Almost 100 teachers attended talks about cutting-edge biological research and clinical practice, delivered by four Technion faculty members, with topics ranging from localized translation in eukaryotic cells to antibiotic resistance and antiretroviral therapy. A recent Science paper about the structure and function of amyloid-like fibrils was presented as well. The seminar was organized by Aviv, and this was his third time organizing Siaẖ Biologim.

The Biologists’ Colloquy (Siaẖ Biologim), an annual professional development seminar for high school biology teachers, will take place on Sunday, December 17th, 2017, at 9:00 A.M., in the auditorium of the Faculty of Science and Technology Education at the Technion. This year, the seminar will be organized by Aviv, just like last year.

למחקר העוסק בתפיסות, ידע והערכת סיכונים של הורים בנושא קרינה בלתי מייננת, בדגש על שימוש ברשת אלחוטית בבתי ספר, דרוש/ה עוזר/ת מחקר לשם ביצוע ראיונות. התפקיד ידרוש גיוס מרואיינות/ים בהתאם למסגרת ושיטת הדגימה, תאום הראיונות מולם/ן, כמו גם ביצוע הראיון עצמו. המחקר נערך במסגרת קבוצת תקשורת המדע, בפקולטה לחינוך למדע וטכנולוגיה בטכניון, ובמימון מענק מחקר ממשרד המדע והטכנולוגיה.
למועמד/ת המתאים/מה:- תואר ראשון או יותר. תואר גבוה במסלול מחקרי – יתרון.
- ניסיון בקיום ראיונות עומק או ראיונות חצי-מובנים – חובה.
- רקע מדעי – יתרון.
- זמינות לעבודה חלקית לפי שעות החל מספטמבר/אוקטובר 2017 ועד מרץ 2018.
- מידה מסוימת של ניידות (הראיונות יתקיימו ברחבי הארץ).
- יחסי אנוש מעולים, יכולת עבודה בצוות, חריצות ואמינות.
תשלום לפי שעה בהתאם לדרגה האקדמית. קיימת אפשרות לתשלום נוסף עבור תמלול הראיונות.

באתר כתב העת “אקולוגיה וסביבה” התפרסם מאמרון של יעלה, ברק פישביין ואילת בנושא מיזם המדע האזרחי (citizen science) “חשים את האוויר”.
