We bring the community INTO the museum and take the science OUT to the community!
In the working model we developed, each activity is fine-tuned to the community's unique interests and needs. We allocated time and resources to get to know the community, and think how we can become a part of neighborhood activities.
- Who is our audience? We collaborate with local organizations to find out what the community needs.
- What is the occasion? We asked how scientific activities could be an integral part of community events taking place in the neighborhood, and occasions like religious festivals.
- What scientific connection can we offer, and how is it relevant? We create content based on the theme of events taking place in the local community, and considering the types of activities community leaders want (interactive, experiment, scientific demonstration etc.).
