Congratulations to Yael Barel-Ben David for winning the Jacob award

We are happy to announce that Yael Barel-Ben David has won the institutional Jacobs awardyael bfor outstanding publication for 2020. Her paper “Can scientists fill the science journalism void? Online public engagement with science stories authored by scientists”, recently published in PLoSOne (link), was chosen from a high number of competitors to win this prestigious prize. Yael received the Public Understanding of Science travel award to PCST!

PCST Network announced that it has awarded bursaries to enable three early-career researchers to take part in the PCST conference in Aberdeen, Scotland, 26-28 May 2020. Guess who is on top of the list? Our Yael Barel-Ben David! Together with Diogo Lopes de Oliveira (Brazil) and Ana Claudia Nepote (Mexico). They were selected from a large number of entries for the bursaries, which were funded by a grant from the journal, Public Understanding of Science.
