Orli Wolfson is a candidate for an M.Sc at the Faculty of Education in Science and Technology at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. She has a B.Sc in Biology and Chemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, as well as a teaching certificate in both subjects. She also has an M.A in Education of the Gifted and Talented, from Haifa University. Orli’s research interests are communication of scientific uncertainty and effective ways for scientists to communicate it. Also, Orli is interested in scientific language for different publics, and the relationship between scientific knowledge and literacy, gender, and decision-making.

Visible scientists in a time of crisis
This is an international project that focuses on highly visible scientists throughout the world. Scientists have a crucial role in communication to the public in situations of risk and uncertainty, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Some scientists became highly visible and even gained celebrity status. This research aims to internationally characterize, analyze and compare visible scientists.
